About the Artist
Abigail Joy draws inspiration from elements of nature and creates oil paintings intrinsic to stillness, wonder, beauty, and awe. With great influence and interest in the impressionist, abstract design and landscape photography, Abigail allows color and expressive brush strokes to evoke depth and mood in her work. The sunrises, winter skies, rolling hills and the florals of her surrounding Pennsylvania landscape persist as her most prevalent subject matter.
Abigail believes great art belongs in homes, not only to adorn walls, but to inspire wonder and beauty in the every day. By preserving moments in time she hopes to inspire the viewer to step outside and seek beauty in their own lives.
A Pennsylvania born artist, Abigail currently lives and works in the greater Philadelphia area. When she is not in her studio Abigail can be found in the outdoors hiking, working at a local flower farm, and enjoys reading, cooking and scoping out local coffee shops.
